The orcassummercamp.org web site is hosted by PogoZone, Whatcom County’s only local internet service provider. We like to shop local. Orcas Summer Camp also owns the orcassummercamp.com domain which is not used. The orcassummercamp.org domain has a SSL security certificate as part of the hosting service that PogoZone provides. PogoZone also provides email services, file storage, and MySQL database access for orcassummercamp.org. The service currently costs $13.64 a month.

The website uses WordPress for composing the web pages, which in turn uses MySQL for storing the web site content. Other than the registration page, the web site contents are very straightforward and are easy to maintain. We have used WordPress Pages for the publicly visible web pages, and use WordPress Posts for the camp notes pages. This keeps the list of publicly visible web pages short and uncluttered.
